Sea freight Personal effects shipments

With our reliable international partners, we offer a full container service door to door for international personal effects.

Air freight Personal effects shipments

For Personal effects shipments less than seven cubic meters, air freight may be a more cost-effective option for you.

It takes time to clear shipments and in most cases port storage is unavoidable.

For Sea shipments, it takes up to 10 working days to clear Customs & Quarantine and up to 7 working days for air shipments.

The Shipment must arrive within 3 months of the shipperâ€™s first arrival otherwise shipment will be dutiable at varying rates. PNG Customs will ask to see your entry stamp in your Passport as proof of the date you arrived.

It is important to have your shipment manifested correctly as if anomalies are found at the time of inspection possible fines could be issued. Commercial goods must not be included and manifested as personal effects. This will result in possible fines if it is found to be mis-declared.

By PNG Law you are only allowed to import one exempt personal effects shipment into the county when you first arrive.

Any shipment that falls out of these requirements will be subjected to import GST and Duty.
